The Legend of the Techno Viking
On 8 July 2000, in the middle of Berlin's Fuckparade, a bald shirtless bloke with a Mjölnir pendant and a Viking beard was filmed dancing in the street. A drunk shoved a girl. The Techno Viking grabbed him, pointed his finger at his face, and silently sent him off into history. The crowd kept dancing. The kick kept thumping.
The clip went viral in 2007. Over 100 million views. The pointing-finger frame is one of the most-reposted single moments in internet history. The Techno Viking became the original "do not test me" reaction meme. A stoic, shirtless arbiter of vibes, parading down Rosenthaler Straße while everyone else lost their minds.
